Licensed by the Nevada State Bar in 1998, Russell’s practice focuses on government affairs and administrative law at the state, regional and local levels. A resident of Southern Nevada since 1977, Russell’s clients represent a broad range of private, Nevada-based companies as well as nonprofit and charitable entities. At the state level, Russell has represented clients before the Nevada Legislature and regulatory agencies since the 2001 legislative session. Locally, he has practiced before all of the local governing bodies in southern Nevada since 2000, primarily on land use and licensing matters, as well as ordinances and regulations impacting his clients. His practice also includes federal matters related specifically to Nevada and his clients. Previous to his legal career, Russell worked on Capitol Hill for former Congressman James Bilbray (representing the 1st Congressional District in Las Vegas).
Russell is a graduate of UNLV (1990) and the University of San Diego School of Law (1998). He presently serves on the Board of Directors of the Nevada Preservation Foundation and his previous community service includes: Board and Executive Committee Member, Urban Land Institute, Nevada Chapter; Board of Trustees, Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance; Board Member, Children’s Free Clinic of Southern Nevada; President and Board of Trustee, UNLV Alumni Association; and, President and Board of Trustee, Aid for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN). Russell also served on the Clark County Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee, and served as President of the non-profit Sigma Chi Fraternity Housing Corporation for the UNLV Chapter. Russell is a resident of Henderson with his wife and two daughters.
Born and raised in Las Vegas, NV, Kanani has deep connections within the Las Vegas community. She has received both of her degrees from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), including her Master’s in Public Administration. While at the University, Kanani served as both the Student Body President and the Graduate and Professional Student Association President. Through these experiences, she has lobbied on behalf of UNLV and Higher Education system in both Washington, D.C. and in Nevada.
While serving as Student Body President, Kanani managed the political realm of the University, and managed over one million dollars in student fees. She was also elected to serve as the Chair of the Nevada Student Alliance, lobbying on behalf of all higher education students in Nevada.
Kanani is a proud graduate of the Emerge Nevada program, which inspires and trains women how to run for public office. Her community involvement includes service for Girls on the Run, UNLV Alumni Association, UNLV Greenspun College of Urban Affairs board, and Emerge Nevada. Kanani currently serves as the Chapter Advisor for the International Gamma Phi Beta sorority at UNLV.
Raised in Northern Nevada, Amanda has over 4 years in politics and public affairs. In 2016 she graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a degree in Political Science. Amanda began her legislative experience as a full-time lobbyist representing such clients as The Reno Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority, Nevada Humane Society and The United Way of Northern Nevada.
Amanda further honed her skills within the Nevada Office of Congressman Mark Amodei (CD-2) as a constituent services representative, specializing in Medicare and Social Security.
Amanda broadened her skills as a Public Affairs Specialists at The Abbi Agency, a communications firms in Reno.
Beginning with the 2019 legislative session Amanda joined Rowe Law Group as the Director of Policy & Government Affairs for Northern Nevada. Amanda is responsible for leading government affairs strategies in the Northern NV region, managing client accounts and conducting policy research and analysis,
